Calvary's River of Blessings

A. Through the blessings Christ purchased on the cross, the true believer:

1. is forgiven Rev 1:5, 7:14, Isaiah 53:5,6

2. is justified Rom 3:24, 5:9, 2 Cor 5:21

3. is redeemed 1 Pet 1:18,19, Acts 20:28

4. is sanctified Heb 10:10,14, 13:12

5. is reconciled

to God 1 Pet 3:18, Col 1:20

to other believers Eph 2:16

6. is spiritually healed 1 Pet 2:24, Hosea 14:4

7. is victorious Col 2:15, Rom 8:37, 2 Cor 2:14

B. The blessings Christ purchased on the cross were foreshadowed in the Old Testament:

1. Christ is our "Mercy Seat." Exodus 25:17-22, Lev 16, Heb 9:11-15, Rom 3:25 "propitiation"

2. Christ is our "Passover Lamb." Exodus 12, 1 Cor 5:7

3. Christ is the water from the rock. Exodus 17:5-7, 1 Cor 10:4

4. Christ was "lifted up." Num 21:4-9, John 3:14-16
